Oblong folio, pictorial lithographed title, 11 (plus title) hand-coloured lithographed plates of gardens, with a folding plan of the gardens. Contemporary red velvet, gilt title to upper board, with an old MS label to same. Some foxing to plates. Zasche was a Bohemian painter and lithographer who was called to Zagreb by Bishop Hauilk in 1850, especially to make this collection of views of Park Jurjaves- which was then outside the city. Having completed his commission, he traveled along the Croatian Coast, painting watercolour views and costumes and church buildings for other patrons.
